Happy New Year Levergunners

Post by Griff »

I'd better get my well wishes for everyone's new year in early... I left TX on Tues and drove up to MN and returned leaving there Thursday. I drove pretty much down the middle to western part of the state and hit a snowstorm (wind driven & drifting) covering up much of Hwy 71 as it meanders thru the countryside and small towns. From Blomkest to Windom it was pretty much guess work as to where the road was along much of it... I left Perham @ 3:30pm and it was nearly midnite before I got to Worthington. Ended up having to drive from Council Bluffs, IA to just inside the TX line yesterday, with a series of accidents just north in OK keeping from my appointment with my pillow for a 5 hour nap before continuing on this morning. Nap cut to an hour & a half! Depressing to think that in nice clear weather, (tho' late at night), at least four car loads of folks won't make their destinations intact. Pretty radical in that from Thursday evening & nite it was around 14-15ºF up there in MN, and today after they unloaded my wagon around 1pm this afternoon, it was 71ºF here in the DFW area. Anyway, after all my rambling, if you're going out tonite, stay aware and safe... Someone is counting on you tomorrow... be there! I'm home for at least a couple of day while I have The Rose looked over... somewhere she's bleeding air... and since my suspension, not to mention my brakes need air... I gotta find where & fix it!

Happy New Years fellas. I doubt I'll be up to ring it in; I have church security duty early tomorrow. I hope everyone stays safe, has fun, and is able to enjoy the night with loved ones! :D

It was warm out today. I trimmed up a few trees. Anyway. Happy New Year to all!
