New Python finally came in.

Post by 2ndovc »

I sold a couple of pistols a few couple months ago and ordered a new 3" Python. Just came in this week. I haven't had time to get it out to the range yet, but fit and finish wise, it's beautiful. Just happened to have an El Paso cross draw that fits nicely too.

Should be able to get out shooting next week. We've had some high winds and a couple small fire claims this week. I hate it when work gets in the way of a good range trip! :D

Nice! I did the same thing last summer. Sold a handgun at a good profit and ordered a 4.25" Python. I have a Mernickle holster allowing for strong side or cross. I've been very happy with both. As you said, the fit and finish is very nice. Especially for these times.

Ha!
You'll have to get past the Rat Pack first. Can't hide from those ears. :D

I did sell off a couple handguns for this one though. As much as I like the Vaqueros, I just didn't care for the .357. That one and a couple of plastic pistols paid for most of the Python.

Should be able to get out early next week, but it looks like our nice weather may be gone for some time.

Awesome. I've almost talked myself into one. Been passing them by before without reading reviews. Having second thoughts now.

Of late, on the daily email sales pitches from firearms distributors, these new pythons are $300 to $400 less than previously listed. Even discounted thusly I wasn't really interested myself until I saw this post. Its only money......Retire at 67 instead of 65.....

Speaking of which, these guys just put them on an even cheaper price than I've seen.

Hoping to have some time tomorrow to make up a couple batches of test loads.

I’m guessing the newness has worn off and there are less folks willing to pay the inflated prices, so retail prices are creeping down.
