Prayer Request

Post by Blackhawk »

My family and I, as I figure most around the globe are feeling the binds of economic strands, add to the fact that other variables are putting even more pressure on the situation and it doesn't feel good. I know I may seem vague in this but I am the type that usually tries to deal with his own problems. Pride can be a hinderence(sp) when trying to do what you want as compared to what you should do. Please remember me and my family in your prayers. As well as all the others around the world that might be in similar situations.

Thank you.

On the list . . .

Nothing wrong with asking for help and accepting it. You just did in asking for our prayers, so it shows that you can reach out when you need to. Don't be bashful about asking for or accepting other kinds of help.

Prayers up indeed. I think it is going to get worse before it gets better - and if Obama becomes President, it will be worse for a long time to come...

Blackhawk,

Do you remember the opening sequence in the first Indiana Jones movie.....he takes the bag partially full of sand and swaps it for the idol he's after. Just for a second all is well, then things get hectic. The stone starts to roll as our hero runs for the doorway out of the cave.....sprinting as fast as you can with the stone picking up speed.

I feel like that now and again....carrying something precious, and trying my best to get out of harms way!! There are always days like that.....don't let them get you down...the Lord will provide.

Hey Johnny,

Great song - and great advice.

You are not the only one going through tough times. We're in the tightest bind we've been in since we were living in the midst of 50% monthly inflation back in the late 80's/early 80's in Brazil. THAT took a lot of "letting God move" for us and millions of Brazilians. I don't know how folks survived it all, but we did.

We're getting things better organized, but still need the Lord's help to get the ends together each month. The falling value of the US currency has affected millions of people around the world and not just back in the US of A. So, for what little comfort it may be, you're not alone.

Again, great song and great message. The tough part is learning to hear the Lord speaking in times of trouble - keep the faith and He will keep you in His care.

And another thought, take a look at Matthew 6:25-34 - great words to live by indeed. Especially verse 33...
Paul - in Pereira

DONE!

I feel pretty lucky even being retired and all and not being in
debt ect, and live alone and only myself to worry about. And there are
lots of folks with families that are having a hard time, no thanks to our
high paid and already made millionaire
politicians. I really do think about
people who are struggling to make ends meet. Keep the Lord in your heart and he will provide.
