Colt New Frontier
Bought a circa 1984 Colt New Frontier “Buntline” 22LR from an auction house in GA Saturday . Paid today and emailed the FFL , hopefully I’ll have in hand next week ! I had one of these before and sold it , now it’s replaced .

Re: Colt New Frontier
Nice.
I have one of the early ones I bought used when I was in high school. Mine is a short barrel but is an excellent shooter.
Enjoy your new Colt.

"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.

Re: Colt New Frontier
The New Frontier I have coming is a 7 1/2” . I also have a circa 1962 with box and papers Colt Scout Buntline 9 1/2” my maternal grandfather bought new in 1962 . Well he ordered it in 1961 shortly after I arrived and didn’t receive it until 1962 .

Re: Colt New Frontier
The Colt New Frontier series of single actions makes the most sense to me for all around shooting. You can only get "so good" with non adjustable sighted guns past 50 yards or so....
Funny thing about those.....even though there's a whole lot less of Colt New Frontiers vs. the standard SAA, they bring less money......at least they do in the centerfire versions.
On the rimfire version I had one that was built sometime in the early eighties with that little safety thing-a-ma-jig built into the recess of the frame where the loading gate is. That gun would shoot 2" off to the left even with the rear sight adjusted all the way to the right.....had to unscrew the barrel a few thou. My son has it now...---6

.
Mine's a fixed sight Colt .22 Frontier Scout shorty - and I just love it to death.
I even got some Bar-B-Que grips for it.
