Well, ain't that somethin! The wife loves it...talk about cool beans. That brain of yours is always churning with ingenuity......Does it work if you don't put the nickel in? For real Pitchy, children 👶 would love to have that in their classroom and also teach em about how things in life ain't free.

Working with wood all day...went out in the pasture, loaded up the trailer and brought it to the house....been splitting a bit...expecting snow tonight and tomorrow. Everything hurts...I'm getting old...well, I AM old. ---6

Oh Gunny!!!!! My buddy who stopped here today is also the guy who got me the Osage Orange. He was telling me about this township about 20 miles away mistakenly cut down some trees that were over their property line and wanted him to clean up the mess and take out the stumps to appease the landowner..guess what? He told me these trees had the biggest first 10 feet of Osage Orange he ever saw. HUGE first 10 feet TWO feet in diameter, then they sprouted all over. ......yea, I'm working on it.....he wants me to build him a classy rifle rack for his cabin upstate from three different kinds of wood. Why? Dunno..did not argue....hoping he turns me on to some of this wood.

Oh man..sorry Gunny...I asked the live-in vet and she said people are having luck with homeopathic meds and also CBD oil to ease the pain until....

BTW...didn't you read my post 17 pages back? The winner of Pitchy's John Deere does not win with post 2,000. The winner is post number 2003

#2003 already HAS a kubota... I don't have a tractor anymore, sold off my 1946 Farmall cub, just ran out of storage space for all my krap! Besides the quad was much better for plowing. Now that I have the Ranger I'm thinking about selling the quad... If it comes to it I got neighbor with a backhoe!

Thanks Lenn.

So the story is Sioux was last pup born in the litter. The only color collar I had left was a dark pink. My vet tech friend and I started joking about pink on a boy. She said let's call him Sue after Johnny Cash. I said that fine but we will spell it a bit more masculine. Sioux stuck and my sister decided to keep it. He would have been 5 in April. Sure hope he has found Dad.

Ain't fair at all at 4 ..poor little guy.......but life ain't fair........I like that Gunny, Sioux.....we have all heard it, only the good die young.

My wife's oldest sister is 77 and is the meanest s...o......b......in the history of Gods green earth. I mean down right nasty, greedy, selfish, and ain't afraid to show it. If she walked into the farm kitchen..(wife's parents house, now is owned by another sister) and my wife's other sister was coming in from the market, this nasty bitc h would grab a grocery bag and say, "we need this..we need that" and fill the bag and walk out to go home. Anyway, she is as healthy as a twenty year old.

Snowing steady here....me and mom just got back from the supermarket.....THATS the time to shop..on a snowy night...no one drives in this shyt.

Where's my little buddy from Maine? I think him and Pitchy got something going on and ain't telling me and Gunny. You know how Harley guys are...stick together like glue...litterly! Those two rolling around in the leaves together playing "plug the stink pit".

Oh well, basement is cleared of 95% clutter....gonna play tomorrow---6

Yeah Jack it’s snowing here too. I just had Ruger and the other boys out, but it’s his first snow. He was running around like a NUT trying to catch all the snow flakes.

We have just a dusting here but it's still falling. Weather channel says less than an inch for us.

Sorry about the pup, Gunny. That is rough.

Sitting in the airport waiting for the flight home. It's 10 below back home this morning, dont think I'm dressed for it right now. :D
Of course, while I'm sitting here I ordered a 10 pack of AR magazines. Don't know why, I have a ton. Idle hands.....

Yep and Sunday, oh well it can wait till tomarrow.
We have a lot of lime in our water so i imagine its covering the element in the bottom and effecting the thermo.
Good luck on the hunt, are you the only one that brings dogs?

Pencil pecker! Pitchy should rename himself to "Mr. Creative".........Pitchy...look at this way on your water heater......It was the Good Lords blessing......soooo many times in life I would spend all my money on a cool gun and the next day....machine machine breaks.......kids need clothes....on and on.......now, YOU tell me, WHO is gonna remember that washing machine?.....or your water heater? Huh? Buuuuuuuutttt.......you will always remember your Garand! :D I'll remember (and still have) that single action Colt.....

Jay.....you will reach a point in life (I have) where traveling away from home no longer interests you...that's if you like your home and your better half......and you and I do........really....listen to Dorothy...."There's no place like 🏡 home".....click your heels.......I want to go home.....I want to go home.....I want to play with my guns as other people's guns don't interest me......
Pooooooof! .....your back home with your furry and iron friends. :D

How much snow ya get Gunny....we got about 3". Where's Old Savage when ya need him????? All of this cold and he is sitting back in Southern California with all of the soft stuff.---6

Jay...ain't dat somethin'! .......the animals being happy.....it's got so bad around here that when I go outside and cut the lawn for a couple of hours, that when I walk in th door 🚪 the dogs get on their hind legs, stand up and start spinning around. When I come home from the gunclub I can't do nothing until the dogs lick me from azzhole to shoe sole....then they calm down.

There's an old saying.....let's pretend if you accidentally 🔐 lock your wife in the trunk of the car 🚗 and open it several hours later.....well buddy, your gonna have hell to pay............................now if you lock 🔐 your dog 🐶 in the trunk and you open it later, you will get licked all over......happily----6

So I have 4 labs in the house. Dixie, Winnie, Claro & Parker.
Winnie is mom of both Claro and Parker.
If I take Winnie for a ride Claro & Parker go nuts whining and crying, or if Claro goes or if just Parker the other 2 are just nuts. But if I take Dixie the other 3 just curl up & sleep. Seems there is a pack within a pack. Dixie is yellow... Is this k9 racism?
But when we get home they always turn themselves inside out !
Rem er, dogs ARE OUR BEST FRIENDS!

I have the blow off valve open to let air in, the tank isn`t bad it fills with lime on the bottom until the element shorts out.
Have to pull the element and clean out the lime and replace with new elements.

Thanks Griff, she`s about 3/4 drained have the top element replaced so should be able to give it a try in a hour or so.
Worse part is dragging the slush like lime out a one inch hole to clean it out.
Will have to see if the thermo`s work right but they should, this happens every three years or so.
Yea i fix everything i possibly can. :)

Pitchy I'm sure you have a wet/dry shop vac so find a length of hose that fits the 1" hole then you can duct tape to vac hose then you can shove that into the tank and suck up all the sludge. I do a similar bit to get all the books & crannies in my pellet stove.

Unless it's plumbing... then it simply costs more the plumber to fix what I screwed up... found it was cheaper to hire the plumber in the first place. (I can't solder worth squat).

Wow bud. That doesn't look like fun. Ive changed a couple water heaters. Stuff like that doesn't last anymore.
I'm really glad I don't have one.
Good luck buddy. Hope it goes smooth.

Gunny.....there is a pecking order amongst dogs...they come from wolves.......(I think).....what I do know is that at one time in the nineties to about 2010 we had 10-17 Yorkies......and if you ever want to see something funny as hell.....we would set up a water bowl and they would line up....the SAME order everyday with Spike, the alpha dog in the lead with Tart, the stupid dog at the end..........and drink their water, patiently waiting while the dog in front of them to finish.

Like Pitchy, I've always fixed something until it needed welding or other serious repairs. I drove 3 vehicles from the mid seventies to now.....always wrenching....sick of it...pulling motors, transmissions, rears, transfer cases and either rebuilding them or going to the junkyard for a decent replacement. Ole Yeller has had about everything replaced except the basic block and it still does not burn oil.

Like I said, I had no choice in those matters...it was either food, clothing, Winchesters and Colts.........or a new vehicle every few years.....but now, having no or a little life, I don't go anywhere and I have expendable cash so when something breaks in a bad way, I shoot it and buy a new one. On vehicles, I still do basic repairs like brakes, fluid changes, etc but our two weekly/monthly drivers, :D , the Jeeps are still like new and nothing has gone bad on them except standard maintenance items.

Over the years I've shot alarm clocks, TV's, radios, stereo systems, (save the magnets from the speakers on those), pots and pans, air conditioners, electric motors, old locks when I can't find the key, even a gun one time...yep, an old top break I got tired at looking at...filled the case with Bullseye and pull d the trigger with a string...boom! Cylinder and top strap gone!---6

Dang Griff....you and me are two peas in a pod! (Is dat good?).......cannot solder unless it's a no brainer. Thanks the Good Lord for plastic plumbing and compression fittings. I can do about everything else like electrical work, carpentry, mechanics, etc..but no plumbing..I screw it up everytime.---6
