Kennedy Retireing

#1 Post by BlaineG » Wed Jun 27, 2018 2:36 pm

If Trump replaces him with a good, God-fearing conservative I'll be doing the happy dance. Maybe Ruth will have to retire pretty soon, as well. Things are shaping up for the USA at least for the next generation or so. Hopefully, a lot of power usurped by the Feds will be returned to the states.
I bet Gowdy would be a good fit.

I don't see the Democraps allowing that to happen though, because we failed to gain control over the Senate...

Mark Levin would be a good choice for the Supreme Court. I can hear it now. "Get off the bench you big dope!"

That's why I didn't want him to run for President.
I don't agree with some of behaviors since the primary but for that seat it would be a good fit.

They will have to come back from recess/break or whatever the kids call it and approve who-ever is immediately.

It is said that Ginsberg not only falls asleep during oral arguments, but snores... loudly.

That said, given she already made up what passes for a mind, it doesn't matter what she hears. Maybe just for her written opinions later, but I suspect those are largely written for her.

The only way she would retire is if a Dem won against Trump in 2020. She was holding out to be replaced by Hillary. Thank Goodness that did not happen!

I just had a thought (I know, rare for me) - how about Trey Gowdy to replace Kennedy? Talk about the left's collective heads exploding!

now I read that ginsberg does not smoke, drinks only wine sparingly, takes in only about 900 calories per day and does a thrice weekly workout that would tire most of us here in an attempt to live until 2021.....of course the tin foil yarmulke folks say she is given a routine intravenous occult fountain of youth cocktail of fetal stem cells and collagen on the d.n.c.'s dime.....

Sounds to me as if someone is just trying to paper over what we all know about Ginsberg. A google search of Ginsberg drunk will return more hits than you can read in a couple hundredths of a second. They aren't going to fool anyone who truly looks. 0f course, the Democratics will be fooled.

Since the Senate changed the rules they only need 50 votes to confirm but it appears the leading guy is more of a Rhino. It would be a real tragedy if Trump lets another Kennedy type Judge take a seat. We need a true "as written" Constitutional judge

I agree. The leading candidate worked for Kennedy and seems to be just one more of the same, and also appearing to lack testosterone.

What happened to Judges who have read the Constitution? Judge does not mean that you can decide that those hyperintelligent men who wrote the Constitution were all wrong and you should set things right just because you have a gavel, a black robe, a courtroom, and you lack the coping skills to deal with the fact that reality and truth don't always go how you want them to go.

She's only been a Judge since November, I would find that to be difficult to defend.

Ok, I last saw that the leading candidate was a male judge who worked for Kennedy. I haven't been near a TV since Thursday. Who is it now?

Brett Kavanaugh is still a top 3 possible pick. He is the one whom I referred to in my posts above.

The female candidate clerked under Scalia and is a solid Christian (Catholic).

There's a possibility that she knows how to think.

:)
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

So, was Kavanaugh on Trump's original list of SCOTUS picks?

Yes...On the top seven choices.
Judge Nap thinks he's weak on the 4th but, I don't think so. Judge K is very strong on the 2nd.
