Apparently dropping a 200# log onto your thumb will pop it like a grape!!!

I guess single action is not an option at the moment.

Glad it wasn't your "hammer thumb". I can feel that from here, though!

For once I can say I feel somebody's pain..... playing Varsity Hardball at school in a conference game I faced a hot shot rival pitcher. He pitched inside once and then again with a big curve ball that really had Me upset. No way would I be fooled again.................... I stood My ground and He threw a 90mph fastball inside on My hands.....that hit My right thumb on the button and popped My thumbnail straight up in the air, blood shot all over the place as I sang a chorus of every bad word I ever heard in My life. the crowd in the stands really had a treat, :? much to the coaches dismay. as much pain as I have ever felt. took six months to grow back.

Worse things can happen with less initial trauma. This is what happened to my lower leg after I tipped my motorcycle over on my right leg...
