The Japanese used the HO-103 in 12.7 caliber. So yep it's pretty much a Japanese made version of our .50 cal. M-1921 aircraft machine gun.

Very cool. I was reading Victor David Hanson's recent article on the Battle of Midway. It kinda made me sad though; I just don't think the country has the kind of people who could sacrifice again, on such a large scale, as that generation did. The snowflakes would melt for sure (or worse, most would probably become collaborators!).
YK, our country is still turning out people like them. They just don't get the press.

The Marines have not yet lowered their standards to comply with political pressure. I may pick on them because I was in a different branch, but I still respect them. Here is to hoping they keep on with making their members come up to the standard rather than lowering the standard for a lower quality of new recruit.

Captain Callaghan made a statement to his men by giving the Japanese pilot a military funeral at sea. He showed his men that you could respect certain values no matter what. The Missouri gave a good account of herself while under his command, so it appears as if the lesson to the crew was one which stuck with them.
I wish the Islamic fighters who are against us would have the courage to put on a uniform and come forward in full view rather than sneaking in to murder a bunch of kids with bombs.
