Looking good! I traded for a single barrel gun like that a while back. Has the same latch on it but with a ventilated rib. Russian made. Pretty decently made but the wood is very proud.

Jess is looking good.

Well done :D , I'm glad to see that magpie in the bag, there's two around here and I never seem to be in the right place at the right time, even thinking about getting a trap.
Happy new year by the way..... :D

Nath, those HWs are wonderful air rifles. I am considering an HW97 for field target.

And popping crows is a great public service ! You are a fine example for the younger generation to follow.
That also is a good multiple selection of critters.

Thank guys, glad to see old friends here.

The shot gun has a tight barrel, .710" and was choked at .675" so I machined it to .700". It is also a poor fit, well it was!
It shot low on anything moving for me so I set some blocks and a jack to bend the barrel. Shoots pretty good now

Well Nath that's some fine shooting!

I wonder though, why not shim the stock and change the pitch to get that scattergun to POI? A great way to figure out the pitch is with wood shingles, normally enough taper to make the change. Once you have it dialed in then cut the stock or fit the shims under the existing pad. I have a Perazzi I got used and it was short and pitch was off for me, I fit a piece of black walnut to what I needed and then quit competing. Someday I'll get a stock made to replace it- but it'll FIT me!

Sure, have done that with others but not to a Baikal due to how they fit the wood and it's only a $70 gun!
