Marlin 336 in 35 remington

Post by budliteguy »

I found a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington today at a pawn shop near my house. Price $249.95 + Tax, it was in Good shape. I have never owned a Marlin, Winchester's and Rossi lever guns only, Should I lay it away? I wish that Tax rebate would come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heck of a deal on that gun. If you are a deer hunter you need to give the .35 Rem a try. Heck, at that price you need to even if you aren't a deer hunter.

If you don't like it, you should be able to turn it for more than you are paying if it's in nice shape.

I wish I still had the 2 35s I sold. the 35 is a great deer, bear and hog cartridge, and the marlin levergun is the perfect platform for it.

Everybody's right. Grab it quickly before someone else does. This caliber works great with an RCBS 200 gr. flatnose gaschecked bullet. Also, the Remington 200 gr roundnose jacketed component bullets are among the best for this caliber.

That is a deal if it is in excellent to fine condition. It is even acceptable if condition is NRA Good.

No - that's a really BAD deal and those guns are really AWFUL. Don't do it. They all are inaccurate, blow up every fifth or sixth shot, really terrible.

Just out of curiosity, though, where exactly was this store...? Do you have their phone number, and do you know if they take credit cards over the phone. Just curious...

I might sort of go check it out for you, if you know what I mean...
