One Expensive Flashlight

Post by Blaine »

 Stopped into WallyWorld for a decent flashlight for the new Mustang, and the gun display was right across the aisle. So, I've been looking at these for a long time, especially the stainless takedown. Fits into a really nice soft case with room for beau coup Mags, and stuff. It will live on the back seat floor of whatever rig I'm driving. You know what they look like, but here's a 'net shot of it.
Case is <2' long.

OUT-STANDING, Tooby -

What a great all around, plinking, small game and survival gun.

Tell your wife that a person who she does not know, nor will ever meet, nor whose opinion is most likely not the least bit important anyway, sez that you made a wise purchase!

Now all you need is a $200 scope and $800`s worth of ammo. Dont forget the battery's for that flashlight if you still have a couple bucks left. Got gas?

Blaine, I happen to know that a couple ratchet straps will hold that case between the speakers under the package tray in the trunk of that generation mustang. Warne qd rings and a vortex cross fire 3-9x40 will fit in the pouch beside the barrel assembly too. Just happen to know that. Tom owner of a 2009 gt.

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I've handled the take down and find it pretty agreeable. If I didn't already have a couple of 10/22's I'd pick one up.

One thing about using any .22 lr as an emergency gun. The caliber will seem very small indeed if you ever need it for anything larger than a bunny.

I used to carry an AR-7 in my Jeep. A bad experience taught me the caliber was really, really small. At least from the back side. Out front it may have looked like the Grand Canyon. I changed to a .410 Mossy 500 for a jeep gun. Slugs from have a bit more get up and go than the .22 lr.

If I'm prowling around in the woods I'll have something substantially bigger. A .45 of some sort no doubt, and probably that new Henry .357 filled up with some of those potent Sig 125 jhp. I think this will be an around town sort of thing.

There has been a reduction in this thread. It is starting to hurt my oxidize to read this. Maybe I should just hope Blaine enjoys his new carbide and his new rifle. I would get up for some coffee, but one of the dogs is on my lamp. I will L.E.D. this topic alone now.
