Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

And you'll have better 'yote hunting too!

It will probably be better for Dee and the boys -- young men, I mean -- as well.

Good luck with the move! Give my best to your wonderful family Jeremy.

Jeremy,

If you move to the Prescott Valley, or general area, check out the Ruger manufacturing plant. They like to hire retired and reserve military personal.
My cousin is retired Marine and works in the QC there. Been there for years.

Congrats on the retirement and good fortune on what ever you do in the future.

If I ever get back to AZ perhaps we'll run into each other :D

Funny, they never taught us that in Security Forces.....our general theory was if 30 rounds of 5.56 didn't do it, hit it with 40mm HE and start calling in heavier weapons...

Congratulations. Hope you find a job which at least helps you be content. You have learned to put up with a lot, but you have not seen stupid until you see what civilians can come up with. As someone who was in the Army for 3 years, I can say for certain that civilians can elevate stupid to an art form. The military has enough rules to prevent too much stupidity from making its way around, although there is enough of it to cause some real headaches for everyone. Hope you enjoy being in one place for a while, and that you don't get the urge to relocate every few years.
