I picked this Ruger OA up at an estate sale today. It was one of those that you fall in love with at first sight. It's a ROA in satin stainless steel with mother-of-pearl bird's head grips. It is marked on the top of the barrel with the words;" Made in the 200th year of American Liberty". It is in beautiful shape, with nary a mark on it. I couldn't find much info on it, but I had to have it for $150.

It's funny you should mention that, because a fellow offered me $100. above what I paid for it before I left the sale. As a bonus, he offered the price in front of my wife

They hadda either adapt a New Model birds-head gripframe to the Old Model lockwork, or rework/weld/polish the old gripframe to a fair-thee-well.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I am no expert, but I have never seen an OA with a birds-head grip like that.
