No worries about the grease leaching into the mixture? I've heard of wiping wax to seal the frizzen on flintlocks, but not grease on caplocks. But, hey, if it works!

I only have one because it's part of the nipple wrench.

When loading my front stuffing rifle for deer season I sometimes let a drop of molten wax drip from a lighted candle onto the capped nipple. Makes a seal that moisture can't penetrate and as long as the temp is cool won't go anywhere you don't want it. Works for me.
