New Rifle, not lever

Post by Lastmohecken »

I picked up this used Ruger International .22
It has turned out to be a great shooter. I always liked the looks and handling but I just never did jump off an buy one until now.

I love Manlichiers . I have aDZ .22 mag but there's room for more.

Greetings
Nice choice ! We see CZ's off and on down here with full stocks. Beautiful they are. No Rugers though...

Nice !

Even though I've had a couple of M-77/22 boltguns (first one a LR, now a .22WRM), and have had many Model 77 (tang safety) & #1 RSI's, I've never come across one of the M-77/22 RSI's (back when I had discretionary income).

I have been tempted by those CZ's, full length stock in .22 mag. I see them every once in awhile at the local gun shop. And I used to own a 30-06 full length stocked Sako which I wish I had kept, but that particular gun was pretty heavy and I eventually sold it, but the balance made it a great off hand hunting rifle and I should have kept it.

The Ruger 10-22 International is one of the nicest modern firearms made I think! I've always been a fan of full length Manlicher style stocks anyway, so not hard to like the Ruger. Glad the weather is cooperating and you can shoot it! I've got three new to me guns here, and it's either been raining steady, below freezing, or snowing! Right now it's snowing heavily! Hope it stops someday, so I can get out to shoot!

That's a good lookin' rifle Lastmohecan. I've had a soft spot for full length manlicher stocks for a long time. Had a 7 x 57 mauser with a short bbl stocked that way.
