Something about the flame in the lantern, just above the flash pan, doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.......

Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

One posit by a poster suggests that it is a late 1800s "Watchman's Lantern/gun" because the lamp is apparently an 1881 "police lantern" of a specific european make....

The lamp is a post 1881 Dietz
"bullseye" police lamp, that originally had a oil burner instead of the
candle.
...
If I had to "Venture" a Guess, this was a "Constable's" Pistol/Light Combination (a Late 18th century, Early 19-th century Police Officer Night Patrolman's Gun)...

An 1880's lantern on a flintlock? I could believe it if it were a cartridge gun or a very much earlier lantern was on the flint pistol. They fit together like an Oerlikon 20 mm cannon on the deck of the Constitution.

Re: Are you Tacticool enough for this gun?
Now THAT is the coolest gun I have ever seen! Whoever dreamed that up must have wanted to get even with a wolve that blocked his path to the privy last week. Like ma said, "Thar aint nothing new under the sun! Once I challenged her when she told me there was no two snowflakes alike.
