I posted some photos on our blog of a traffic jam we were caught in yesterday. Nothing earth-shaking. For those of you that have been in third world countries you know the feel, the aroma's and the noise ..... :lol:

Very interesting, especially the last one......Uhmmm, what happened to the guys head that's laying out behind the produce?? Is it in the Coca Cola container??

Oh my, upon further inspection, I discovered that what I thought was his left sleeve was actually his headband. I appeared there was no head between the two shoulders!!! I get it now. Whew! :roll:

Hey Jim, did it take long gettin' used to the Englishter' way of driving on the wrong side?
Some of them dudes are mean lookin'. You sure this wasn't taken in Detroit? :o

I found that driving on the right side became quite normal fairly fast. All you need is some terrified person riding shotgun and screaming "YOU'RE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!" It helped pick it up quickly. Been doing it enough years now that it is all quite normal.

The 'mean' look is often fear or uncertainty. You are a foreigner in their country and they don't know what you are gonna do. Smile and say "Hello" in their language and the smiles break out. I don't know that I have met anyone who was angry that I am here.

reminds me of a jeepney traffic jam in Olongapo, Philippines........ :mrgreen:
