I can not remember who it was on this forum,
but someone previously spoke of gators actually stalking them.
I questioned the man and he insisted it happened.
A reptile that large stalking me, would give me cause for concern.

Actually they don't taste like chicken at all. It's more like clean tender pork. We have some commercial gator farms around here if anyone is interested. Shoot me an e-mail and maybe I can hook you up. It ain't cheap though. the last I saw was just over $10 a pound. But then the shop down the road from me was selling Kobe strip steaks today for $49 a pound.

I would think that if you live somewhere where you can get express mail in one day it should be doable. you might try doing an online search first to see what a commercial seller would sell and ship it to you for.

If you still need help, let me know

Actually, the ones I ate while living in Brazil tended to taste like fish. Boneless fish fillets. :) Good eating and a lot of fun to hunt this time of year as the rivers go down, leaving pools full of fish and gators. Slip into the pool at night with a flashlight and machete, ease through the water carefully so's not to make any ripples, look for the "coals" glowing along the edge of the water, sneak up and smack 'em between the eyes with the machete. Lots of fun and good eating too. :D

But they make such good pets  Had one that some people released in a local lake. Caused all sorts of unnecessary panic. Closed the lake to use, and tried to catch it for a couple of years. They said hey had to remove it from the lake because it might get sick from urban run off and such. Pretty stupid considering the critter has been aroudn for millions of years, basically unchanged, and done just fine. Well, they finally caught it. Took it to a local zoo. Where it died a few months later. So much for saving poor Reggie.

The apartment complex I lived in I Fort Walton Beach had a residnt gator that lived under the boat dock. Pretty much got fed by people coming back from fishing. Usually pretty doscile unless you tried to get it off the dock when it was sunning itself.
