that's it, it's a Scots-Irish bunny and doesn't like snakes or Hertford-English Georgians.
I'm descended from Dalriada, too. (in fact, my ancestor was Coinneach mac Ailpein King of Alba)

That was pretty interesting. I didnt realize they would do that.

I did have a bunny assault me in my yard once. True story. Was sitting out front in the tall grass and sage brush watching the sunset, the dog was trolling for bunnies to chase (she never catches them, just chases them). She found one and it was heading towards good cover when it suddenly realized I was right in its path. It jumped up and smacked me in the shoulder and face and managed to regain its footing and get on to the cover. I was laughing so hard I could hardly talk to the dog afterwards.

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

Who would have 'thunk it? That rabbit wouldn't give up.

Don't mess with a protective mother.

My Dad had a rabbit when he was a kid, and that rabbit would often beat up the farm dogs. I would come running at them, jump, and kick them in the ribs while coming in at them. One of my Aunts said that the dogs would usually be knocked rolling. The dogs were scared of that rabbit.
