Whitney Kennedy SRC in 45-60

Post by Shrapnel »

These things are not easy to find but when you do, you need to grab them. There weren't more than 1000 Whitney Kennedy SRC's made, few in 45-60, here it is with a SRC in 44-40...

Nice! That's a unique look, with the two lumps underneath.

Does the rear of the bolt protrude with the lever closed?

Looks like they have more tang angle, like a Henry, to facilitate iron sigts... izzatso?

Very nice, thanks for sharing pictures!

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

yes, i have bid on these many times but have yet to snag one....... i would bet i was bidding against you and you won, at least on some of them ! like you did with the spencer pump rifle!

seriously, those are great -- hard to find, great condition, very desirable. i would shoot one if i had it; i have an S lever whitney kennedy 44/40 rifle, and it shoots well !

thanks for sharing !

Yes Brad, he shoots them. Go read some of Mike V's articles. :D

Shrapnel, that's some nice pieces you have there. In addition to rarity, you also have the hardest quality of a src to get.....condition.-----6
