A MSRP of $1379 is a little steep for this guy.

I've never been too excited about the venerable 30-30 but what I find so interesting about the Model '94 is how the action almost dismantles itself and explodes to cycle the cartridge, then comes back together to chamber the round. Sheer genius. JB was unsurpassed at lever gun design to this day. -Tutt

In the overall scheme of things I doubt they'll sell many at that price.
Way to many real Winchester 94s out there.

I appreciate that not all hunting is done in the greenwoods but I would get no pleasure from long range sniping an animal that has little chance of even knowing I'm in the same county. I guess I spent too much time with muzzle loaders... :D

And yet, even here, guys are successful with muzzleloaders... and bows... Open country changes how you hunt some... but doesn't completely negate woodscraft.

AMEN!
It cracks me up that guys in open country claim to need to shoot 300, 400, 500 yards or more with rifles because it is "open country" and you can't get closer, yet there are successful bowhunters in the exact same place
