Re: 32 cal(.321) Bullets no where to be found???
I shoot cast bullets in my .32 Special and size them to .323 .
Speer bullets are fine and I prefer them in many calibers. When they stopped making the Hot cores for the .30-30 I got lucky and found two boxes of them at a local dealer. They will chrono faster than Hornady or Sierra in my guns and the load manuals usually call for a lighter max. load also. Accuracy is on par or better than the others in my rifles also.
Oh, by the way!! WELCOME to the forum!!!

Thank you The gun I shoot is a Winchester with a 1-16 twist. Would you know how most 150-170gr cast bullets stabilize And any good books on shooting, casting or just good knowledge on the subject. I don't even know what to use to clean the gun after shooting cast bullets. Treat it like a 22????
Thank You

Call and ask for a sample. You can get load data here. http://www.gmdr.com/lever/lowveldata.htm just scroll down to 32WS.
You shouldn't get any leading if your velocities are under 1800fps. These are "hard cast". Clean it like any other rifle, but Shooters Choice does a real fine job of removing any lead that may have deposited.

Re: 32 cal(.321) Bullets no where to be found???
John, and Welcome to THE Forum.
For my money's worth, Lyman's "Cast Bullet Handbook" is one of the best references for cast bullet loading data and general info. Supply varies wildly from what I've gathered. Even in major metropolitan areas, one shop may have one item and severely lacking in others. Some might be willing to order, while others won't. Supply seems to generally improving, but it seems slow and spotty.
Casting is a hobby unto itself, but some view it as a chore. I cast a few specialty bullets for specific purpose, but for my bulk shooting needs, I generally buy.

Re: 32 cal(.321) Bullets no where to be found???
Hornady discontinued 150 bullets and I think these were among them. Casting might be the only way to go at least until the ammunition situation somewhat stabilizes.

6mmdasher , The .32 Special was designed for the 170 gr. bullet and that is what most loads contain.
Where you can have trouble is when you go heavier (longer bullet) not lighter and shorter.
Those Hot Core bullets are great Deer/Elk bullets. Have fun!

Those are very fine for deer. If you've got the cash, go get them. They will never decrease in value. Consider it an investment.6mmdasher wrote:Chuck

HI & WELCOME
The speer is a good bullet, If you shoot a fair amount with your 32 id buy every box of speers you
can find!!! That's what I did & now I don't have to worry bout it
mostly I cast my own & like said its like a investment, most of my speers cost under 20 bucks
