Hello forum:
Finally picked up a companion sidearm for my Marlin 44P. It is a Lipsey, Ruger Bisley 44 Spec. Haven't shot it yet but everything looks perfect on the gun.
This is going to make a nice combo for my Michigan deer hunting and Florida hog hunting.
Let you know how it shoots but these things are almost boringly perfect.

I really LOVE the Bisley-gripped Rugers...!
I even got (took a year to find one) a Bisley frame for my old NM Super Blackhawk, which was my first centerfire handgun.

Very nice
Will you be shooting specials in both of them?

Will be carrying 44 mag ammo in the rifle and 44 Spec hunting ammo in the revolver. Of course, the 44 Spec ammo also feeds perfectly in the Marlin 44 P.

If you use 'Elmer Keith' loads, a 44 'Special' is no less than a 'Magnum', and the Ruger should be able to handle it...
I kind of have the same 'setup' with my Rossi 92 in 454 Casull, and my Ruger Bisley Blackhawk in 'merely' 45 Colt.

A fine set of firearms. What bullet is that in the .44 special?

Those are just some Magtech Cowboy Action loads for the photo. I think they are 240 grn, flat nose loadings. Plan on using some Hornady defense loads or one of the Buffalo Bore offerings for hunting.

Thanks, I load 240 grain cast for my .44special. those just looked kind of long.

I kinda wish I'd never sold the 1894P I had !
Blackhawks are fine just not something that draws me these days . But then handguns as a general rule don't intrest me that much anylonger .
