Welcome to the best gun forum on the web. Are you busy shoeing those mountain mules and horses?

Welcome Farrier, glad to have you aboard. My wife is from Wyoming county, my dad from Mercer county. It's about time I came back up there for a visit.

Image And Welcome from TEXAS (by God) :P to THE Forum.

BTW, no pics are required of that heavy, clunky, ugly Henry wannabe! :P  Nice trade... I don't understand the AR "pistol" concept... don't bother explainin' it... I still won't understand! Where there's a will, there's a way... and no way do I need to understand!

What type of farrier are you? Corrective, track or... ?

Well I carried AR's during my Army service and when I was a LEO. Dabbled in them off and on since but cowboy guns have always held my heart.

Yep. Heard tell a few years back some ne'r-do-wells snuck onto the forum who only shot bolt-action guns and semiautos. Took weeks to root 'em all out and get rid of 'em.

We gots to have standards, you know...!!!!

Good - ya posted a picture so I didn't have to; can't have a thread get too long without a levergun picture...!

There is a way to make tie picture come up without clicking but I'm not a good enough PhotoBucket expert to give much advice on it. Mine works, but I don't know exactly why. Probably needs 'resized' to less than 1000 pixels.

Been out there, and it's very pretty. Kind of the best of Kentucky and Tennessee combined, on the other side of them big hills...

FYI, West Virginia (WV) isn't West (by God) Virginia - WV is a totally different state.

West (by God) Virginia is that long/thin SW to NE slice of VA, NW, between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the WV/Tenn state lines.

Welcome!

WV IS a beautiful state. The wife and I were just there in the middle of Oct. (Beckley area) for a vacation. Even got some pics of us stepping over those stupid Govt barricades blocking OUR  National Parks. Went in anyway. Yes DC WE WENT IN ANYWAY! :o

Even got told about the best locales to view from an off duty ranger :D

These guys are right, best site on the web here, good, honest (mostly  ) folks.

My wifes grandmother lived in Beckley till she passed away some years back. We go there to reminisce.

Welcome Farrier,

I'm from Beckley and wander the Monongahela National Forest near Slatyfork in Pocahontas county in my spare time usually with a 30-30 Winchester or a Flintlock. Been known to carry an EBR when it suited me.
