A great Easter gesture from this forum -

Post by 86er »

Before Christmas time a forum member contacted me and asked if I knew any kid(s) that were interested in shooting but weren't in circumstances to learn (parents don't shoot, financial, etc.) I looked around and came up with two 15 yo's a boy and girl. The girl lives with her Dad and brother but her Mom is no where to be found. Shot my gun once and loved it. She received a brand new Henry .22 with a ton of accessories as an anonymous Christmas gift from the forum member.

The same person remembered the 15yo boy that I mentioned around Christmas time. In December, there was only one rifle to gifted and the girl got it. Now the forum member purchased a rifle from me, and turned around and said "Give it to the boy that you mentioned at Christmas time".

What a fantastic gesture from a wonderful person! I have corresponded, engaged in transactions and participated in topics on this forum with this Gentleman, but have never met him personally. Let me tell you, he is welcome at my home any time!

Passing on the gift on shooting and all that comes with it is a fantastic thing to do. Doing it anonymously is simply marvelous!

I think he still wishes to remain anonymous so I respect those wishes, but I thought everyone should know there is this person among us who is so unselfish and generous.

Wow, that's awesome!

Will see if I can do the same to a deserving youth in this area this year...

Just IMAGINE if we could all do this? Even with a $75 decent starter/single-shot .22???

Tight groups!

86er,

That truely is a great Easter story. Pass on our thanks to the anonymous giver. What a fantastic way to make a kids year and to pass on the joys of shooting. And thanks to you 86er cuz I know you will be giving the proper training to that boy. That in itself is a mighty fine gift!

Proud to be a member. Great people here, and it humbles me every time I hear of their generosity. I sure hope the boy enjoys his gift and continues the levergunners way of life.
