Mossberg rifle. No cartridges in the belt. Gallery owned clothing (oversized).

"tough dude" pic for the girlfriend in PA.

Winnie Model 73 and he looks waaaay too clean cut, for those fancy spurs.

Probably a Heinz employee spending his vinegar and pickle wages. :D

'73 with the square lever and latch?

OK. I'm certainly no expert on old levers, but I thought that was a Marlin feature...?

Yep. 1873 with the lever latch, possibly '76 to go with those big loops on belt. Boots & spurs look new, buckskins aren't. Sure look like cartridges in campaign belt; I'll have to look for era, but I'm thinkin' 1880's. Belt's worn too loose, probably fall off after first step! That's an eastern indian shirt, not plains or Rockies tribe... Maybe not Heinz employee, but close!

But, I've been wrong before! :P

It appears to be an 1873, which makes the belt loops wrong. MUCH too clean cut to have just come in off the prairie. :D Nice shiny spurs have not been used at all IMHO.

Oh heck, one look at that baby smooth face says it's a gallery job. But, I can fault him. My wife and I have one, gotta find it someday, done at Knott's Berry Farm with us all dressed up in "western" wear. She's still one fine looking saloon girl.

If that is a '73, the cartridges in the belt are maybe a tad to long.

I'm thinking 1876 Winchester. The cover plate is too far back for the 73, right?
The rest I would guess, props.

regardless, the clothes are way older in style than the firearm. It's a costume.

I agree, I knew y'all would see what I was seeing. The spur leathers and PA address were my first indication. Always fun to take a closer look at the old photos. RR7
