I've bent too many punches over the years trying to start out stubborn pins like the ones staking the front sight on AR's and so on.
This one looks like it will hold up, and if the thin part bends, I can replace it - probably even with old drill-bit shafts.
I'll let you all know how it holds up...
Hopefully a pin punch that won't bend when used hard.

I've been using a set of those for 25+ years and they are great. But get plenty of replacement pins and cut some short. You want the pin only long enough to do the job. Anything longer will be more likely to break.

I like that and great tip (pun intended) ndnchf.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Doc,
When buying a pin punch, I always buy 2 or three of the same size. I'll take one of them and cut it off so there's only about a 1/4" of the pin left. I use that one to "break" the seal and then use the longer one to finish the job.
Another great pin punch is the kind that holds a decapping pin from reloading dies.-----------------------6

I have several of the Brownells punches and have not broken any, but have bent a couple.
