That was a typo, right?
You meant 454?
How much did you weigh at the time?

Re: rjohns
Actually, I thought a 454 was a GM engine...not for Ford LTDs....Didn't they have 352s, then later, 390s and 360s? Ford had a 460, but, I thought that was just in trucks....

Re: rjohns
They also made a 305cc on the same frame as the 454. They were really tough long lived bikes. Tho heavy for their engine. I tried buying a couple but sold right away. 3rd one was so beat up, didn't want it. It had over 60m miles on it.

I had a '62 Galaxy XL with a 352. I put in a '69 390 for it when the rings went. Beast.BlaineG wrote:Not exclusively...A 352 Ford Sedan was a fierce ride with the four bbl options....Rusty wrote:I thought the 352 and 360 were a truck engines ?

Re: rjohns
In the day a friend of mine had a '62 Galaxy with a factory 406 V8. The Ford 406 is the counterpart to the Chevrolet 409, an earlier version of less displacement to the Ford and Chevrolet 427's. That car was a sleeper. I have driven a lot of muscle cars and I can say they were all fun, drunk or sober.
