HRA Model BTH (Benjamin Tyler Henry) 1860 - stk# H011
Cal: .44-40
Cap: 13+1
Wt.: 9lbs
Bbl: 24-1/2"
OAL: 43"
MSRP: $2300 (Davidson's) - not in stock
( GROAN ! ! ) - Yet ANOTHER expensive FatBoy !
I'm out, as much as I like a .44-40 - but IMHO a much better buy would be a .50S&W Montana Armory Model 89 @ $1800MSRP.

I do wonder what the price break will be at actual retail outlets?Pete44ru wrote:

It looks nice from ten feet. Curiosity continues! The price, however, is a non-starter.

I reckon I have been sufficiently underwhelmed...

My question is will they actually produce the weapon after seeing the response here? Trial balloons are easy working guns not so much!

The photography is not clear. For the 60 aficionados....what stands out immediately that you do not like, except the price?olyinaz wrote:It looks nice from ten feet. Curiosity continues! The price, however, is a non-starter.

Re: Found a pic of the HRA 1860 Henry
I stood a foot away from it at the NRA show and I did not like it after I studied it for a bit.
The side plates looked wavy to me in the reflections. You could see the impact of over polishing.
The rollmark on the barrel was deep and raised a lot of metal around the letters.
The gap between the side plate and the receiver was more noticeable than my Uberti.
I went over to the Uberti booth next and picked up an 1860 there. It was noticeably better finished, smooth side plates, no discernable gap or edge on the sideplates and the rollmark was less deep. It was also about 900$ less expensive.

38-55 & 38/44 What a combination!
