Mad house at Cabelas today

Post by Mossyoak1957 »

The girlfriend and I thought we would take a ride to Cabela's today... I needed a new bore light anyway.

It was a total mad house in the gun dept. first off the gun racks were all but empty just some oddball stuff left, people were buying hand guns like they were giving them away, it was 3 deep and 60 feet wide down the counter with people waiting there turn, they had to get a number like you would in a sandwich shop.

So we walk over to the ammo section just to see what was happening over there.....well there was not a thing happening there cause there wasn't any ammo left to buy, only thing left was 3 boxes of 32 Win.spl. and a few boxes of Dangerous Game Ammo if you were going to Africa on a hunt.
No .22 ammo at all....no 30-30.....no nothing.

I said to my girlfriend...it's kind funny everybody there was buying all those guns but they aint got no ammo to shoot.

I got to thinking the ammunition and gun manufactures are lovin this.
Maybe it's a good time to buy some stock in a few firearms & ammo manufactures because it looks like they are going to be busy for a long while.

Luckily, I'm just topping off for now....I still have a powder deficit, and lack some .30 for the 308, but, I can make do with what is available. Heck, I can't shoot that far anyway, so, some 170gr blunts for 30wcf will do just fine and dandy

I don't know if the fact there is not much ammo arond or guns either is a good thing. Gun shops keep open due to sales. No products (guns or ammo) no sales. No wages etc. Some shops could fail. We are seeing the worst possible situation there could be right now. Only could be worse if these shortages were caused by panic buying due to a restrictive gun law that got through. Are the anti-gun idiots smart enough to project these events happening right now and figure if a lot of shops fail, this would fit their plans perfectly? I was at a couple of small shops todayand my report would be the same. Virtually no guns of any kind and no ammo.
Man, I'm glad I bought when I did!

Gun and ammo makers are going to be running some long hours I am thinking.
I believe most have been running at max output since BO`s first run.
I hope things calm down. As for me, I am well fixed right now on guns, ammo and loading supply's.
Others are hurting though and I am thinking some .22`s may come down in price with no ammo available. :?

Chuck,
If you are right, I am going to view that as a buying opportunity
