Looking for Lyman 12 ga Slugs

Post by TedH »

Been casting the LEE slug and shooting in my Hawk 982. Been having less than impressive accuracy with that slug, and would like to try the Lyman wasp mold, but Midway and others are all out of stock. Then I got to thinking I really don't want to spend $75 or more for a mold if these slugs don't shoot any better than what I got. So if anyone has that mold and would be willing to sell me a handful of slugs, let me know.

Nazgul,
How do those slugs shoot? Are you having much luck with them?

I have only used them out of a smooth bore short barrel. Actually an 18" Remington with a cylinder bore and a 6.5" Serbu 12 ga. Never bothered with accuracy from these 2. I use sabots out of the rifled shotgun for hunting.

If it is the diablo shaped one I understand the 20g one does very well out of .58 smoothbored muzzleloaders!

I know airgun pellets thatshape fly good out of smoothbored airguns too!

Let us know how it goes Ted please.
