Latest TOY , photo requested by Pokey

Post by Chuck 100 yd »

Here is my latest toy. Talo edition of Ruger Super Black Hawk
in .44 mag with 3 3/4" barrel.
I bet the muzzle flash at night is something else.
I already had the same gun with 4 5/8" barrel so I just had to have this one to go with it.
It will be fed hard cast Keith style bullets with 2400 supplying the push.

Very nice! Is that one of the Lipsey's Supers that Jeff Quinn is talking about?

C. Cash ,It`s a Talo special run ,as I understand it, but I bought it from Davidson`s Gallery of Guns online.
I have had special run guns on order through my local dealer but I get to wondering if they actually did place an order after a while.
With Gallery of Guns if they are out of stock you can do a stock watch and get an e-mail when they get a shipment and you can buy it direct from them on line. They just ship to a local dealer of your choice.
The final price is quoted before you click "ORDER".
Way cool!! :D
I got these two about a month ago.

I bet the muzzle flash isn't too bad. I don't notice it at all with my 4 5/8". But, then again, it doesn't bother me when I shoot my .30 Carbine Blackhawk either...

damienph , SWEET ! Did you do the polishing on it.

I have shot my .44 mag. SBH 4 5/8" only a couple times but
I do shoot my .357 a lot more accurately.
It`s not the recoil, I just have to work on the loads a little and find what it likes best.

Thanks, I did polish it. A soft rag and a lot of Mother's Mag polish. I do usually shoot 44 Specials through it, I have a scoped 7 1/2" SBH that is usually loaded with fairly warm 300grXTP (magnum) handloads. I also have a blue 4 5/8" 357 magnum. Like yours, it gets shot more than my stainless SBH pictured above. I currently have 5 Ruger single actions, I think that they are great handguns. I hope to add a 45Colt/45ACP Convertible this coming year.

You are going to like the convertible. I bought two New Vaquaro SS 4 5/8 .45 Colt/.45 ACP for CAS.
They shoot Cowboy loads from the .45 Colt cylinders into the same group with standard 230gr. loads from the ACP cylinders
and both guns are regulated to hit right onto the tip of the front sight at 25'. Just perfect for CAS. :D :D :D
