Re: Howdy all !
Thanks all for welcoming me !
Im located 9 miles or so above the Northern border of California in rural farm/ranch country. Retired and now just do the important stuff . You know , mess with my guns . I like building them , all kinds from matchlocks to the evil black guns . Been reloading for them since in grade school and casting not so long since early 70's . Just something that was ingrained in me at an early age by my Dad and Uncle . Thanks to them Ive enjoyed it my whole life ! And so the adventure continues !
I have a few lever guns , 1895G 45-70 , 336 marlin I had recut to 38-55 15years back, couple old 30-30 Win , an Eskimos 35 Rem 336Marlin ( full of seal oil and caked blood when I got it) 45-70 Highwall (clone) 45-110 74 Sharps (clone) ,allmost forgot , a Ruger #1 45-70
Oops Forgot about GreatGrampas 73 Win 44-40 that was passed down and a Sav99 in 358Win I picked up a while back .
Ive been gathering parts for a basket case 94 Win action to build a 38-55 using a Marlin Octagon barrel I picked up . Still gathering at this point . Need to find mag tube and parts .
Well thats a little bout me . Dug in on high ground like a tick on a hound and happy to be here !
