I made him an offer before the bidding ended and he took it! I'll post pics when I get it next week.

Yes, pics are in order. That stock looks really sweet even from the crappy photo.

Lucky you. :D

What a great find!

The first thing to do is take off all of that rawhide though.

I expect a detailed range report...

I faxed the FFL this am and he said he'd ship today. I should have it by Monday!
This was one of those "make an offer" situations on GB. The seller had it posted for a high price, it expired, so he relisted a couple of days later. Two very kind members of this board emailed me the link, but with the new listing. I had seen it at the original listing price and dismissed it as out of my range.
Lo and behold, the listing just sat there with no bids. I emailed the seller and offered $700 shipped. He came back with $750 plus shipping. I told him $700 shipped was the best I could do and we parted as friends.
When the listing expired he emailed me and agreed to $700 plus $40 for shipping. I figured it wasn't worth $40 to lose the gun so I agreed. Let's see if she's as pretty as her picture!

I shot this pair today, temp. was around 70 here in west central MO. Don't have any photos of the targets, but had a blast anyway. Clay targets at 50 yrds. were too easy, for the Browning, not that good with the Ruger yet.

The Browning is a lot slicker that my Interarms B92.
Republic. I like the sound of the word. It means people can live free, go or come, buy or sell, be drunk or sober, however they choose. Some words give you a feeling. Republic is one of those words that makes me tight in the throat . . . . Some words can give you a feeling that makes your heart warm. Republic is one of those words.

I'm looking for a good shooter Blackhawk 357 mag. Not too many around here, for some reason.
