Prayer Request

Fellow Levergunners,

Could you find room on your prayer list for my wife's cousin? Her name is Toni Jo Thibodeaux. A few weeks ago, Toni Jo found out that she has a cancerous tumor in her liver. After much pain, and a little chemotherapy, she is back in the hospital. Her doctors say that she may not live past Monday. Toni is 53 years old, and she has had to deal with quite a bit in her time. She vowed to fight this cancer, but it may be too tough for her. She frequently spoke of her faith in Jesus, and this has given us some comfort.

...well, it's 20 days later, and Toni Jo is still with us. :wink:

Carla & I, along with my in-laws, visited Toni, yesterday. She is living at home, with hospice care. Those that had visited her in the hospital say that she is looking much better, since she came home. She feels better, at home, too. Toni does look quite good, though pain medication keeps her a little sedated. She has many people helping her, and has had plenty of visitors, including some of her old schoolmates. Toni thanks every one of you, for all of your prayers. She is not afraid, and she truly believes that everything is in GOD's hands. She has strong faith in Jesus, as her savior, too. Toni was even talking about coming to visit us, as soon as she feels stronger. What an attitude!

Fellow Levergunners,

It is with sadness that I tell you of Toni's passing in the night. Here are the words of her brother, Skip Guidry:
My sister, Toni Jo Guidry Thibodeaux, passed away at 12:17 am today. She's in a better place and no longer suffering. Thanks to relative and friends who have visited with her and expressed concern. I can't tell you how much it's appreciated.
