Nuther Winchester 94

Post by pwl44m »

I spoke of this Rifle on another post the other day. After a day of cutting wood and getting to fire My Colt and Win 92 I headed Home from My Property in the Hills. I passed a sign that read "moving sale, most everything goes". So I hang a Uie and go back. Old Gent there that didn't have much out, said He had been piddling all day and didn't get much done. So I look around and find a couple things which He gives Me. Then I Pop the question "got any Guns or related stuff that You are going to sell"? He said He is going to sell some Guns but He will take them to Huntingtons to sell them for Him (paperwork Ya know). I told Him if they are over 50 years old He didn't have to do that, He could sell them to Me on the spot. There was another Neighbor there that confirmed it for Me. So now what do You have ? He starts with a Win 94 that His Wife bought for Him in 1958. OK what do You think You would have to get for it ? He said I wouldn't turn down 250. OK can I see it,He goes in the House to get it and brings it out. Niiice looking old 94. Well I didn't have enough cash on Me and He didn't want a check. I said I can have the cash here in the morning and He agreed to hold it for Me.(do Ya think I slept much that nite) So He has other Guns, Win 1300 with 2 barrels (slug & shot), a Win mod 70, 30-06 , Universal M1 carbine and a couple others. Well I am anticipating loading My truck up and get $1000 cash to play. Go back and get the 94 but He doesn't want to sell any more, said he might need them whan He gets to Illinois (barf gag wretch) just for U Joe.
Hope Your not bored so here is the description. Pictures say more than words. The only blue wear is on the bottom of the receiver where it was carried, a scratch here and there and the screws are a little buggered. Bore is Beautiful, this Gun has been taken care of. I shot 6 rounds out of the 2 boxes He gave Me (the $3.85 ones) I spoke of elsewhere. When I fired it I was reminded of what a Sweet Gun the 30-30 is.

Your serial number shows date of manufacture as 1953.

"Go back and get the 94 but He doesn't want to sell any more, said he might need them whan He gets to Illinois"

ROFLMAO

The old phart is delusional. Thinking he might need them in IL. Wait till he finds out about the FOID card he's gotta have, and the very long wait to get it.

Nice 94, you did real good on that one.
