for the computer guys and gals

Post by rossim92 »

I use a pc and my kids use laptops and we share one virgin mobile broadband modem. We can't get cable or highspeed where we live, Best buy sells a router that works off the broadband modem and is plugged into the pc via usb port and transmits for the laptops.Best buy sells one for $ 120.00 I want to see if anybody knows where i can buy one, such as from amazon.com or some other trustworthy website, For a much better price. Any suggestions. thanks :?

Sorry for the delay I just saw this post. I got my wireless router from my local Staples store. It has several ports for hard wire and then the wireless capability. There are different price ranges but they all do about the same thing. The main difference is the range the laptops will have.
If you plan to order it and have it shipped you might check out a company called "New Egg" and see if they can help

My wireless router was $84.95, 2 years ago - I just walked into a local 'putr store & asked what they had.

One of the advantages ( I guess) of living in the densely-populated NorthEastern US, with a very competitive local business enviroment.
