First range trip in 6 years.
I went to my old gun club this morning, first time in 6 years but I've since moved back to the area, so I thought I might rejoin.
My 94 Antique model has not had much use with full house loads and I wanted to see how it would shoot at 200 yds. The range is on a big army camp and you can't put up your own targets, you have to use the army targets and fellow members take turn in marking the shots with a pointer. I was the only levergunner there and was surrounded by EBRs( not semi auto, this is the UK) and scoped and bi-poded stuff with things sticking out of the side and a few old Enfields Mk 4s. Still I did not disgrace myself or the reputation of open sighted leverguns, even though I had to shoot prone, my least favorite way of shootin' I tried out some privi partizan FSP 150 gr and some Winchester 170 gr.
Sorry no photos of the range, I forgot my camera but here's an old one of my 94.

Army ranges are an increasing PITA these days, what with shooter certification cards, RCO qualifications etc. At one of our coastal ranges we even have to pay for a guy to sit in a boat off the coast to warn off small boats.
Have you moved closer to Farnham GK? If you wanted to do some real levergunning I could sign you in as guest shooter for one of our western shoots at Headly Park.

Perry, you're correct Army ranges are not too much fun anymore, one Royal Navy range I used to go to was hopeless on a sunny weekend, as so many sail boats went by we could not fire more than a couple of shots before being told to cease fire.
Oh to live in Arizona..
I have been to Headly Park... PM sent.

Nath, I was very pleased, although on a MOD range it's difficult to see your own group, there were two of us on the same target but the 94 kept hitting around the bull nearly as close as the guy next to me with the bi-pod and scoped .308! I did have a couple of flyers though. my error not the Winchester's
The last time I shot there at 200yds I used my 9422M and that too was accurate enough for a few surprised faces from the bolt action brigade..
