In England Limes are considered weapons

Post by Cliff »

Saw an article the other day where a woman was doing her grocery shopping and bought a lime for a recipe she wanted to try. When checking out she decided she wanted to get another one and was told they could only sell her one. When questioned about it, the clerk informed her that the goverment or police feel you can spray someone in the eyes with a lime and temporary blind them and rob them, so they only on limes sold one at a time unless the customer wanted to fill out a form. Come on was this a joke or what? I know some agencies like to go to extremes but citrus fruit as weapons? Oh well I feel safer now. Hope all had a good holiday.

But ..... who's going to protect you from the idiocy of those trying to protect you?

You know a couple hundred years ago we rebelled and kicked the British out of the colonies, I think it's about time you Brits rebel and kick the Idiots out of the UK.

Ah heck, then you and Nath and the other UK shooters just come on over here and help us kick our idiots out. There'd be lots of good company then.

Ya know, they caught me out. WhenEVER Im plannin on assaulting someone, I get a sqeeze lime and a squeeze lemon, so as to better cover the bases. No pansy real assault citrus, I go to the concentrated stuff that comes in the handy-dandy squeeze bottles.

What has happened to the BOLD, BRAVE MEN OF Great Britain...?????

Too many lost, I reckon, defending the intersts of the Crown in the farthest reaches of the Realm...

Truly a shame! Hardly any left but the derelicts and the dregs, and they are being slowly outnumbered by imports...

Take special Heed, America, the hand-writing is on the wall.....

(funny.. i never felt particularly well-armed with a lime.. Or even a grapefruit..)

If the poor woman had dropped her lime into a shopping bag or a coat pocket, after purchase, would it then have constituted a concealed assault weapon..?

The entire incident speaks to a level of incredible paranoia and insanity on the part of officialdom..

Has the Queen been made aware..?

They are probably too afraid of that woman to speak to her on the subject. After all, didn't she once wring the neck of a pheasant on camera?

I've always admired that Lady.. Long live the Queen!

Her Immediate offspring leave something to be desired, however.. Perhaps the future of the Monarchy can be preserved by her Grandson..

There was a self scanning issue, not a weapons issue.
