Swede Mauser New Sights

Post by Newtmaker »

Thanks to the tips I got here I got my new sights on the 6.5 Swede. Have only been to the range once with it with the new sights, but they are very promising.

Looks good! I have a Williams FP on my Model 94 and it shoots a lot better than I can.

Very nice! That should make a great shooter -- and the post is "OK" here.

But on the Swedish Mauser boards that I used to frequent... They'd run you off, and call you all sorts of names...

Before you think that's too harsh or over the top, think about how this board responds when someone um, "alters" a nice original levergun.

I used to be a "Swede Purist" years back, but I've lightened up considerably since switching over to leverguns -- and hanging around here. And I'm having more fun too!

Tight groups.

The Swed is hard to beat...... hardly any kick, and a ballistic coeffenciey to be admired. I have killed a hell of a lot of game with my Model 38 I will tell you. That is the 1st deer rifle I bought my son when he turned 16. Less than an inch at 100 yards with the 140gr bullet. I did have both mine converted to cock on opening though.
