OKAY, I AM BACK SO STRAIGHTEN UP YOUR ACT....
JUST SPENT TWO WEEKS IN THE U.P. WHERE I SHOT UP 8079 ROUNDS IN A BIT LESS THAN THAT TWO WEEKS. I AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH AL, BOGE, OR JEFFRO SHOT UP BUT IT WAS A BUNCH
THE CALIBERS WENT FROM 22LR TO 38SPL, 357MAG, 44-40, 44SPL, 44 RUSSIAN, 45ACP[SIXGUN], 45COLT, AND 475 AND 500 LINEBAUGH. RIFLE CALIBERS INCLUDED 30-30, 35REM, 38-55, 416REMMAG, 45/70, 45/90, AND 475LINEBAUGH ALSO.
THE CLOSEST TARGETS , ALL STEEL , WERE 80 YARDS, THEN 90 YARDS, 100 YARDS, 110 YARDS, AND 120 YARDS. MOST WERE 6" TO 8" SQUARE ALTHOUGH SOME WERE THE SIZE OF SNUFF CANS. THE ROUND TARGETS ARE/WERE PARTICULARLY TOUGH TO HIT AND REALLY TOUGH TO RUN HIT STREAKS ON. TWO OR THREE IN A ROW AND YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE SOME HOT PUNKINS I'LL TELL YOU. A LOT OF THE SHOOTING WAS IN BRIGHT SUNSHINE [ BIGTIME HOLDOFF ON SIGHTS DUE TO HOW THE LIGHT PLAYS UPON YOUUR SIGHTS ] AND IN HEAVY WINDS, AN EVEN BIGGER HOLDOFF PROBLEM.
ALL THE PISTOLS WERE SINGLE ACTIONS EXCEPTING TWO MKII RUGER 22'S, A BOWEN CUSTOM BEARCAT [ PRESTINELY ACCURATE !!!], AND A RUGER 4 5/8" OMFT 22 SINGLE SIX.
ALL THE OTHER SA SIXGUNS I BROUGHT AND SHOT WERE COLTS, NEW FRONTIERS IN 38SPL, 357MAG, 44-40, 44RUSSIAN, 44SPL,AND 45COLT. THERE WERE ASLO COLT SAA SIXGUNS IN 45ACP, 44SPL AND 45COLT, JUST AS ACCURATE AS THE NF GUNS BUT A HELL OF A LOT TOUGHER TO SHOOT DUE TO THE OLD FASHIONED SIGHTS.
ALSO INCLUDED WAS MY MARLIN 39CL WITH WILLIAMS APERTURE SIGHTS THAT IS ASTOUNDINGLY ACCURATE, IT--NEVER--MISSES !!!! I DO MIND YOU, IT NEVER DOES; THE BULLETS GO EXACTLY WERE THE FRONT SIGHT IS WHEN THE HAMMER DROPS. BOGE HAD A RUN OF 30 HITS WITH THIS DELIGHTFUL CARBINE.IT REALLY PO'S ME WHEN MY PALS OUTSHOOT ME WITH MY OWN DANGED GUNS [ L O L ] !!!!

Re: OKAY, I AM BACK SO STRAIGHTEN UP YOUR ACT....
Sounds like fun!
How come the targets were at those particular distances...? We do 25, 50, 75, & 100 yards (25 yard ones pistol only and include 2-1/2" flip-ups, and 75 yards rimfire rifle only same target), and would love to do 150 and 200 yards if we had the space, but wy "80 YARDS, THEN 90 YARDS, 100 YARDS, 110 YARDS, AND 120 YARDS"...? Just curious.

Good to have you back Terry. Does me good to hear you spent two weeks burning powder and swapping lies with friends. Sounds like a great time. And, I'll straighten up as best I can.

Reading that description of what you were doing, Terry, I'm doggone jealous. I've just been at the range by myself playing with my 'new' 38-72. I'll try to behave myself now that you are back, but I ain't makin' any promises.

It certainly sounds like it was a good time! Bugs? The U.P. can be fearsome buggy like, but I'm thinking not this time of year.
