I don't want a Barrett... I want THIS:

Watch the Video. :o

You could almost use this for room clearing, if it wouldn't shoot through your house, the neighbors house, the neighbors neighbors house and the house past that...

Naw, both of them are over the hill. They'd need body doubles just to pick one up.

That's a heck of a rifle. It would make a heck of a rock breaker that's for sure. As for the 1 meter at 1.5KM accuracy, it don't matter, I can't shoot that good anyway.

But only if I could get a body double to carry it for me  .

On the serious side, I don't know of anywhere one can just go shoot a gun like that. Not many places with enough range to really wring it out.
That thing would be a hoot with tracers.

My nephew has a .50 BMG bolt action. I've shot it two or three times. It's a hoot to shoot but I'm glad I don't have to feed it. We've got a place on the farm marked out to 850 yds and it's a good thing it has a high power scope on it. I can't even see 850 yards any more . Wonder when someone will come out with a sporting version of the 20 mm :D

If I am doing the math right, the accuracy of that thing is 2.4 MOA. That is probably accurate enough, but a Sharps 50 would likely do better.

I remember the M2's going off on top of our M113 APC's and the whole track would move with the recoil. Amazing that you can put that round into something so small and still have it well under control. They did an amazing job to get that put together, and I admit, would be the ultimate in fun. If fired in a room though, I would imagine you could kiss your eardrums goodbye.

Yes... so? If cost of ammo were an issue, you couldn't afford the gun.

Same same with any .50 BMG. Got a guy at my church who had a custom .50 BMG built to hunt 'yotes on his ranch. Ammo that costs $2/rd doesn't faze a guy who spends 5 figures on a gun.

Joe, it would be hard to mount irons on that thing the way the barrel moves anyway  (kidding) The rifle looks fun though

Sadly enough, most of my truly powerful "big boy rifles" (Weatherby's with cartridges seemingly as large as Red Bull cans ) - just sit around doing nothing --- they were fired a few times when new, and again when hunts were scheduled that they would be useful for -- but other than that they just sit there looking ominous --
So i would like to own a .50 in theory , but everytime i start thinking seriously about it, i look at the lonely .30-378 sitting in the corner of my gun room getting unused with an under-utilized high dollar optic on top and i sigh

That is sweet. I made a post about bullpups just yesterday on a forum.
Personally id love to have a .454 casull (I know rimmed is hard for auto) or another very high pressure small cartridge in a bullpup.

I found this one too, its a BAR converted into a bullpup. Sounds like awesome IMO.

Oh, that is COOL... though nice wood + bullpup just don't really go together.

Just used some Google-Fu... that is available in Germany NIB or as a conversion on your rifle...
