Photo of my Winchester Model 53 & Colt 45. Lets see your's.

Post by rangerider7 »

I was sitting in my easy chair this morning and noticed how the sun was shinning through my window on my gear where I display my Winchester model 53 32-20 and Colt 45 with the other items. I thought it looked pretty good so I tried to take a good photo of it. It turned out okay but I think it could have been better. I was just thinking we should all try and take a good photo of one of our favorite guns and post it so all could see. It can be outdoors or indoors, by itself or with other period items. I think KirkD inspired all of us with his calendar. It should be fun. You may already have one made that you want to post. Anyway we will see how everybody responds.

Great pic. Levers, saddles and blankets, jus' look right together. Love how knob on peep sight stands out. No pun intended. R-7, I remember seeing the Whitney Exit and couldnt remember why is was significant. ONLY 8 months later it HITS me. Keep'em coming Todd

I take photos of my guns but most aren't as "artistic" (I am NOT artistic) as this one...

Nice photo, Rangerider, and good to see that fine old Model 53 32-20. I was just fondling my Model 53 32-20 yesterday. Beautiful little rifle. I like your display. You house must be a very interesting collection of western history.

I've much appreciated you fellers sharing your rifle photos. So here's my contribution: I think these are brothers.

Both 1950 era rifles. Top is 35 Rem. and bottom is 30/30. If the 30 isn't my all-time favorite rifle, it is awful close to it...
Far as I know these boys have never been fed anything but cast bullets. Yeah, that's a Lyman 311041 in the 30, and an
LBT 357-180-FNGC in the 35.

Not quite as artistic as your RR7, but these are probably my most used guns and have won me many matches.

Well here's my Browning '53 and Colt SAA 45. I apologize for the quality of the pic. I didn't have my tripod accessible and it was taken indoors.
