About 3 months ago I was piddling around in my cave with my Puma .44 Mag. I took it apart, drilled and tapped for a receiver mount sight, and mounted the base, all ready to reassemble. Well, ran into a minor problem and 3 months and two major surgerys later I went out to my cave and just looked at the disallembled M92 on my bench. Where to start? I wiped everything down with a light oil, looked some more and came back in the house (mebbe a bit of anesthesia still rolling around my brain?).
I guess I'll have to dig Steve's CD out of the "storage area" and relearn how to work on my Puma
I edited the title to reflect more of the post's contents.

92s are a PITA but they are not rockets so you don't have to be a rocket scientist.
Just punch up a schematic drawing and study it, and then do it.
One tip I found valuable is to use an empty case hooked under the extractor to hold the ejector in the bolt as you slide it into the receiver. Run the case into the chamber and the tension will hold it for you.

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Good thing the DOCTORS had NKJ's DVD on How to Reassemble a Human - at least they got YOU back in the running...
Now it's your turn to 'rescue' the gun...
Well, my doc isn't too good at reassembley. He removed a bunch of stuff from my neck and a piece of muscle (that big one that runs up the side of the neck from shoulder to ear). When he put me back together I think he may have lost some screws or pins , neck is really tight and my head don't move like it used to. . Good thing it's my off hand side and I can hold my Blackhawk with one hand and if I ever get my Puma back together I think I'll be able to shoot her. Awww what the heck, life's good anyway...

These links are obviously free info. Steve's DVD will cost some dollars and some time waiting for it. I will say I did purchase his DVD and it is well worth the dollars and time waiting. He covers disassembly/assembly and some great tuning info.
I have an EMF Hartford 92 blue carbine .45 Colt that I tuned with Steve's DVD and it came out great. The '92 is my favorite rifle.
