OT Finally its mine

Post by barbarossa »

Bought 45 arces of hunting landing back in March at a county land auction and have had to wait until today until the deal was finalized and now the land is finally mine.45 acres may not seem like much to some but to me it is my own private piece of paridise, a place where I can roam and no one can tell me to get off of it and what makes it even better is it is located smack dab in the middle of prime deer country.I have been looking for a affordable piece of land for awhile as I find public land is shrinking do to new development and the gov t buying up land and establishing wilderness zones which are off limits to hunters. Also I find a lot of private land owners either hostile to hunters(yet they complain about the deer and coyotes being a nuisance) or only allow friends and family to hunt their property.I now can breathe easier as I have my own stomping grounds to prowl.

Congrats. Now for the down side. Interlopers / tresspassers. Best of luck, and good hunting.

CONGRATULATIONS! One thing is for sure, they aren't making any more land. That's a rel good investment in your own happiness. And prime hunting land as well. Nice move!

Man! Thats better than a crate of 1886 Winchesters. :D Good for you!

Land is about the only item a man can own that never drops in value and one thing for sure---it will be there for all his days. (yea, I know, you gotta pay taxes  --bummer)

When its your land, you can pick and choose who visits it---nothing beats a day roaming God's creation in solitude with a big bore single action hanging on the side with your only visitors being wild animals, your dog and maybe a 32-20 levergun :D --------------Sixgun

Details man, details!!!

Flat? Hills? What kind of water? What's the forest make up? Is it near your homestead? How close are the nearest homes..........

You've now got what I also long for, let me live vicariously through you! Paint us a clearer picture.

Oh, congrats
Kind regards,
Tycer

I live in Nova Scotia , Canada. My land lies at the head of a lake and consists of a nice mix of hard and soft wood trees and has a nice size brook cutting through one corner of it.I plan on going out to give it the once over tomorrrow looking for a few sites to set up a couple of blinds.

Good for you!!

The one home I've had in my life that I really miss is the 35 acres that I had a little horse ranch on.

I'll get back out to the sticks one day.

Hang on to it for all your worth and NEVER let go!!!!
