Forum Hosting Drive

Post by AmBraCol »

Well, folks, we've had a couple months (almost) to kind of settle in here on the new version of the leverguns.com forum. Yeah, it's not the old forum, but it's the same folks and the same chance to chew the fat with like minded folks. For the past couple months we've been using the sight courtesy of the sixshootercommunity.com management. They set up the forum using their disk space and bandwidth. However, this is a larger forum and we've much greater bandwidth and storage needs. So we're needing to set up a more comfy and roomier webspot for us. No, no, no, we're not going anywhere, we just need to provide for greater bandwidth and storage on the current server. So, here's the deal, if this site rates as an "A-1" in your opinion and you'd like to contribute financially to the cost of hosting and upkeep, feel free to kick some $$$ into the kitty. There's a couple of options on how to do this. We're suggesting donations of $10 or more. If 30 guys kick in $10 each we'll be able to pay for all the webspace and bandwidth we need for the coming year.

There are two ways of donating. You can Paypal to webservant@levergunscommunity.com

Or you can write a check to:

Paul Moreland - mark the "Memo" area as "leverguns forum"

And send it to:
Paul Moreland
C/O Mark Moreland
PO Box 302
Duenweg, MO
64841

Thanks, guys. As always, it is a pleasure to serve.[/i]

Don't know about everyone else, but I definitely get $10 worth of enjoyment from this website/year. Am I now on the board of directors? :D

Thanks Paul for the heads up. I hate feeling like a freeloader. This is a great chance to be a real part in what goes on.

Well guys, I'd like to thank you for stepping up to bat, so to speak. We've got enough bandwidth to keep us going strong for quite a while. I was amazed at how much bandwidth the forum uses - over 2 gigabytes per day! Anyway, we're set for the coming year. Thank you for making this a great place to hang one's @...

For anyone who hasn't stepped up to the plate yet, don't hesitate to do so. Sure, we got enough to keep going for the next year, but it doesn't hurt to have enough to keep going for several years.

We'll be back next year with the offering plate again. :-) Makes it easier to do one year at a time since that's the length of the hosting contract...
