Its Time for a central-nothern Texas Shoot and campout!!!

Post by O.S.O.K. »

Who'd be up for a shoot and maybe camp-out in North to Central Texas?

There are two of us interested so far and I'm being the instigator in asking if anyone else would like to get together.

I'm thinking Saturday/Sunday on a non-holiday weekend sometime in the next couple months. Yes, it will be hot but this is Texas afterall. ;)

So, check-in and give some ideas as to where we could do this.

I think there's a range somewhere near Waco - west of it a little bit in Chandler? I've shot there before and we camped out and it worked good - that was another board.

Yes, interested, if it is close enough. If I can't get off work on the Sunday, it might just be a day trip on Saturday. (I work nights, Sunday through Thursday.)

It could be for Friday night campout and then Saturday shoot or just one day - Saturday. The Friday night would allow folks farther away to travel that evening and be able to shoot in the morning.

My son and I would be interested in doing this as long as it was after school was out for the year. Let me know and I'll try to get off work.

I'd be interested, but like Griff, it's a schedule thang.

How about we start by picking a month? May, June, July, Aug, Sept?

OK.

July - latter part to stay away from the 4th.

May as well make it hot.

And I think I can get my son to come too if he's not working...

Hot?

Man, that's just one of the reasons I love Texas.

I'm pretty sure that July is wide open for me, but I gotta check the lick at the salt mine just to be sure.

We have one of the levergun hunts the last week of July. I'd be interested in this outing too.

I'd be interested. Let me know when and where, give me a little notice, and I have a good chance of being able to make it.

Great - we need to pick a range. This could be a one day thing too - with a BBQ lunch or something...

How about the third weekend in July? Friday/Saturday...? That wouldn't interfere with the hunt will it?

So... the suggested target is the 16th and 17th of July?
