First, thank so much to all of you that called and emailed to wish me well. With the help of your positive thoughts and prayer I'm on the way back. Today marks three weeks out of knee replacement surgery. I’m up and walking but pretty slow. I’m trying to get some work done but because of the therapy I’m only able to work about two may three days a week. I have a bunch of office/log work to get caught up on before I can get back to answering the many emails and ph messages so bare with me if you are waiting for a reply. I’m still running on some old parts but when these new rebuild parts get worn in I should be back up to speed soon.

Listen to your physical therapist and heed their advice. My mom had a double knee replacement last year the only reason she is walking around now is she kept up with the rehab. Prayers continue.

Glad to hear it! Long term, keepin' up with the therapy outweighs any short-term convienence or callin' it like it is... pain avoidance!

Thanks so much. You guys are great. For anyone considering a knee replacement don't put it off. I'm a little over 4 weeks out of surgery but I already have more flex and movement in this new knee. I think I have about 3 weeks of therapy so I sure I'll get full use with no more pain from this new knee.

On a side note, I had a chat with my doctor about how this new knee was done. The most amazing thing about the process is how I was fitted for the new knee. The first step was the pre-op MRI. That MRI was a special MRI that is actually downloaded to a computer. With that information the computer CAD's (computer assisted design) generated info that is then used to program CNC machinery that produces the cutting blocks or jigs the Doctor uses to removing the correct amount of old knee so that the new knee fits perfectly.
To a 60 year old that amazing Star-wars Bionic Man stuff. Way Cool.
