I've never asked for a prayer request here before but I've tried to post on the all requests for prayers I see here and I know there are a lot of good Christian people on this forum.
My first request is for my mother who is in the hospital now with several issues the doctors have been trying to work through since Sunday night. She had seen a big improvement yesterday afternoon but ended up in the ICU early this morning when her blood pressure dropped dangerously low. So they're running more tests today. She is 83 years old and we can use all the prayers we can get.
My second request is for a coworker's 2 year son, Nolan, who was diagnosed yesterday with a very aggressive cancer. He's the sweetest little boy and isn't sick at all right now but his little world is going to change drastically in the next few days as the doctors try to plot a course for his treatment which at this time looks to include surgery and massive amounts of chemotherapy. So he and his family really need God's healing hand because the prognosis isn't very good.
My mother has had a good life but it's hard to fathom God's plan when looking at the battle Nolan and his parents are just beginning.
Prayers up and keep the faith. God is still, and always will be on the throne in sovereign control. This side is just the beginning, the other side is glorious beyond all measure. those taken into his care are in a perfect place. Blessings and prayers. keep us informed please.

Please remember that God hates evil.....says so in the bible, and that everything that is good and right and righteous is a gift from the hand of God. If He were to afflict a two year old with the missery of cancer it would be against His very essence!
There is a spiritual war going on between the devil and God for the souls of mankind. If the devil causes a cancer in a child, he's trying to separate the child's family from their relationship with God, and many times is successful in taking many souls to hell in the process.
If you'd send me a pm, I'll hook you up with some excellent references to reinforce the reality of this situation.

My wife has asked me does it worry me if I was not given a place in paradise to which I say no!
It does not worry me at all because it is the Lords decision and which ever way that goes it will allways be the right decision period.
In the mean time nemhed I hope and pray our Lord grants your family and friends all the blessing they need

Prayers sent. I have always been thankful that Heavenly Father never allowed me to be tested in this way. HE knows my limits well.
Nemhed, thank you for bringing this request. Not just for the ones you requested prayer for, but for reminding me to take pause and be thankful for blessings taken for granted.

Just a quick update and a huge thank you to all who replied. My mother will hopefully be getting out of the ICU today. The docs are trying to get her blood pressure and atrial fibrulation controlled with drugs. They had her do a little physical therapy yesterday and had her on her feet. She's not out of the woods yet but the trees appear to be thinning out.
The doctors still haven't exactly decided what type of cancer young Nolan has, but they're leaning away from surgery and may be able to successfully treat him with chemo. This is still just the first mile of the marathon that he and his parents are forced to run, so time will tell.. His parents aren't dealing with this well and are lashing out at friends and family for asking too may questions and being "in their business".
Continued prayers for for all involved will be greatly appreciated!
