Is it as snappy as the .357 SIG recoil-wise?

Well,
To me,yes.
But I have both those calibers on 1911 platforms, I grew up with a 1911,in my hand.
I shoot them well because I like and am familar with them.

My blood pressure, but that's nothing new. It helps keep my beard fuzzy...mescalero1 wrote:awp101,

Nothing really. Kicking around the thought of another 1911 down the road and found a couple of .400 CorBon barrels on another site. I'd heard of it but not read up on it until I posted that link up top and figured I'd ask around about it.
My only experience with the .357 SIG was in a SIG229 and it was snappier than I care for. Since it's compared to the SIG in that link I kind of thought the recoil would be comparable. I really, REALLY want a .38 Super but I'm afraid it's going to be the same way, at least based on the Llama .38 Super I owned a few years ago. Since then, my Supers have been EAA Witnesses.

Every Super I have ever been associated with has been a problem child.

Re: OT - .400 CorBon?
What kind of problems? My two Witnesses ran like champs after breaking in. The only issue with the Llama, other than a possible weak mag-spring, was the way it hit the heel of my hand during firing. I don't know if it was the arched MSH (I prefer the flat) or what but the recoil was sharper and hurt more than running full house .357 loads to me.
